Mary Schwartz and Barbara Ciarlantini, the "Handy Girls" operated a successful painting and paperhanging business in Las Vegas for many years. As women doing non-traditional work, their desire was to open up more opportunities and choices for little girls.

To accomplish this, they created five Handy Girls,
who work together in their fix-it shop to help others by painting, building and repairing things. But more importantly, these role models help build pride and self-esteem through a child's own accomplishments.

Mary and Barbara were highlighted in Family Circle magazine, appeared on TV, and authored a local how-to newspaper column. they are currently pursuing mass merchandising for the "Handy Girls" concept.
